May be, they prefer "top behavior" just because _don't have_
possibility to see alternative? :)
Well, let me be more constructive. I myself use Far file manager. It
presents nice feature: it may remember last position of (all) edited/viewed
(in its builtin editor/viewer) files. Thus, I know this feature very well,
and should say: sometime it _very_ useful (instead (long) searching, where
we was stopped read/edit last time, we open right at last position),
sometime it confusing (if I forget that I was inside given file and try to
open it, expecting see it from top, I may be confused by unexpected
picture). But sure: I will not turn off this option, because its advantages
outweight disadvantages - searching (through many-many PgDn/PgUp presses) is
much longer, than one ^Home press.
