I have been using a .bat file to do this DXB Backup for years. I have mine set to backup to 6 different drives on my system, The last being a drive on a network computer (you need to map The network drive before you can do the back to the network drive)
Below is one section of that file used to back up all the needed Files to one drive. You can just copy and past this data for however Many places you want to backup to. Just change the drive/folder names Where you want to backup from and to. You could have Windows scheduler Run this file anytime you want. I have it programmed into my DXBase "Programs" menu and just run it manually from there. copy "C:\Program Files\Scientific Solutions\DXBase 2007\*.CO" H:\dxbbak2007 copy "C:\Program Files\Scientific Solutions\DXBase 2007\*.mdb" H:\dxbbak2007 copy "C:\Program Files\Scientific Solutions\DXBase 2007\*.ini" H:\dxbbak2007 copy "C:\Program Files\Scientific Solutions\DXBase 2007\*.bat" H:\dxbbak2007 copy "C:\Program Files\Scientific Solutions\DXBase 2007\*.cmd" H:\dxbbak2007 copy "C:\Program Files\Scientific Solutions\DXBase 2007\tools.dat" H:\dxbbak2007 copy "C:\Program Files\Scientific Solutions\DXBase 2007\DXBbak2007.bat" H:\dxbbak2007 copy "C:\Program Files\EA4TX Software\ars\dxbase2007.cmd" H:\dxbbak2007 copy "C:\WINDOWS\DXB2007.ini" H:\dxbbak2007 73 de Tony, KD4K Happy New Year -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Crownhaven Sent: Thursday, December 31, 2009 12:48 PM To: Paul Deyo Cc: [email protected] Subject: Re: [Dxbase] Backup backup backup (KISS) This is what Jack had to say, per the help files: Files to Back Up In your DXbase directory: Your database files ending in the file extension ".MDB". If you are using more than one .MDB database with DXbase, make sure you back up each one. Your reference data database called REFDATA.MDB. All files ending in the .WCF file extension. These contain your Wizard configurations. All files ending in the .CO file extension. These contain user configuration files for QSO field order. All ".INI" files in your DXbase directory. These contain field sizes and hidden status. Bands.INI contains your frequency to mode parameters. Copyright C1999 - 2006 Scientific Solutions, Inc.
