We assume that all requests for help have been preceeded by a modest search. It
should be common practice to at least do a search within the mailing list
archive before posting a redundant request to hundreds (thousands?) of list
subscribers...
Sometimes the requests are so vague and fundamental that it's difficult to deal
with them seriously.

"I have a job interview tomorrow, please tell me what EDI is all about" is
probably not going to to be answered without some rancor.

Just my 0.02 cents...
