We assume that all requests for help have been preceeded by a modest search. It should be common practice to at least do a search within the mailing list archive before posting a redundant request to hundreds (thousands?) of list subscribers... Sometimes the requests are so vague and fundamental that it's difficult to deal with them seriously. "I have a job interview tomorrow, please tell me what EDI is all about" is probably not going to to be answered without some rancor. Just my 0.02 cents...
