Mike,
Correct me if I am wrong, but according to the X12 StC minutes "A
motion was made, seconded and approved to create a detailed X12 meta-
data licensing program", therefore it is not DISA who is responsible
for the approval of such licensing program, but X12, DISA would only
be enacting on the X12 decision.
Since you are a member of the X12 StC you should be very interested to
hear the comments from those that will be affected by this licensing
program. This will not only be EDI software vendors and service
providers but also their customers as the cost of any license fees
will be reflected in higher product costs.
