The prolem here is that these pulleys will be 2 speed, 2 each 1/2" thick 
sheets of moderately hard alu, superglued into a 1" wide workpiece that 
I intend to make a pair of 5 groove j pattern pulleys using the edge of 
each sheet.  When cutting the smaller pulley, the side of the v type 
tool holder will cut away 1/2 the thickness of the larger pulley.  So I 
am in the process of making a 5/16 tool whose tip angles are correct, 
but offset to the left so only about .04" of the V is on the left side 
of the tool.  Tool holders that I have found for v-chips all hold the 
chip centered in the end of a 12mmx12mm or bigger tool.

But it appears I will have to make an arbor to hold a thick brass disk, 
and annoint it with diamond paste, the big dremel diamond wheel, trying 
to remove .006" per hour, is definitely bowing which is reducing the 
side heel clearance to zip or less despite the fact that the rotary 
table holding the tool is tilted forward a good 10 degrees. Tomorrow 
I'll reverse the tool in the chuck, which should make that bowing work 
for me.  I also think I'll shoot for a 35 degree included angle rather 
than 40.

So I'll start at the scrap metal place & see if I can find a sheet of 1/8 
or even 1/4" brass to make the diamond paste impregnated disk.  And 
order some diamond paste to charge it with.

Who has a good price on that stuff?
