Who hosts your domain? Here in the US most DSL providers no longer allow a SMTP server on their networks so although I can setup a Pop mail server to receive mail, I can't send mail without using a SMTP server external to my actual hardware server. This was done supposedly to minimize spam coming from their network, but I think it has been ineffective other than to inhibit legitimate users of their services.
