The probe mounts to the shank with 4 screws and then a ball in the probe fits in a hole in the shank. The screws don't pull up tight, you adjust them like a 4-jaw chuck to centre the probe tip. I used a BT30 boring-bar adaptor (they are cheaper than metal from eBay) and fitted a adaptor to increase the diameter enough for the screws: https://goo.gl/photos/sRDrZbNsnT3z1tuN9 The MP3 is not a particularly small probe. If you have a tiny machine then you might want something littler. -- atp "A motorcycle is a bicycle with a pandemonium attachment and is designed for the especial use of mechanical geniuses, daredevils and lunatics." — George Fitch, Atlanta Constitution Newspaper, 1916 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ _______________________________________________ Emc-users mailing list Emc-users@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/emc-users
