I presume machine units.  My machine is a little unique in that the Z axis zero is actually the table, and when it homes it's actually 2.4" above the table.  After homing, with no G code or offsets loaded, the DRO should show machine units, correct?

absolute position along the physical slide)

notation). Those e-05 and e-09 numbers mean "basically zero"

Yes, I knew that.  Just posted what value the machine was actually showing.  The dash between the e and the numbers is actually a minus sign showing simpler notation than 10 to the minus 5 or 9 in those two cases.
