It's not undeniable that his problem is with his hardware, but everyone here
seems to ignore, or forget the point he's making - since everything is kept
in a few large files, the chance of data corruption on such structures
really hosing them ALL is far greater, than if data was kept in lots of
smaller chunks..
And his points about retrospect (confirmed by MS) are valid as well. I
certainly would not want to archive user folders or volumes that contain
Entourage/OE data that changes frequently.
Granted, the FireWire backup solution works the best, and the fastest,
tough.
