Paul, 

I think my solution that I just sent to the list may work better. I just
tried the unread mail view and it pulled up hundreds of messages from
newsgroups!  I have not played around with custom views yet. Can it be set
to JUST show email messages? I even set more criteria for News Account - Is
Not - News Server and I still get lots of unread News messages.

Another problem is that men the message is moved from an IMAP account to a
folder, it marks the message deleted, but leaves it as an UNREAD message.
All of these messages also show up in the unread view.
