Well, that's not so because I'm using smtp.earthlink.net and it works WHEN it's working. When it's gone out, I've tried the smtpauth.earthlink.net to see if that would fix it and it didn't. > > Maybe I overlooked it, but did you mention if you were getting an error > message? If so, what did it say? (The error message I got when I was > unable to send e-mail was something like: Relaying > <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> prohibited by administrator.) I do get an error message after a VERY long time of waiting and waiting for the email to send or receive. It says "connection error" but I don't recall the number it gives. > > Also, what method did you use to determine that you were unable to _receive_ > e-mail? Just that I click on Send and Receive and the Progress window looks like it's trying to send and/or receive, but it doesn't. Sometimes the bar will go partway across, but then gets stuck and after quite some time, it gives me the error message. At other times, the bar doesn't even begin to move. > > Could something possibly have become corrupted, and would an Entourage > database rebuild be in order? Have no idea.
