While taking a few shots of the kids in the yard last week with my 1v +
550EX, my son noted that the flash hadn't fired when it should. As I was in
A mode I was curious as to why this happened and checked as soon as I had
downloaded the data to my PC. The flash mode was recorded as TTL for three
shots then the correct E-TTL for all others - where it usually is. I've
always assumed it was always in E-TTL mode and never tried to change it (why
would I?). I'd been meaning to read up on this to find out what might have
changed it but had forgotten until I read this post. To answer the question
though, the 1v obviously is capable of TTL and E-TTL. Now where is that
manual.................................
