I'm after a used one at the moment for my sports (mostly ice hockey)
coverage, to use alongside my 300/2.8 and insead of a manual focus 135/
3.5. I have tried one with my EOS1nHS and the only thing I disliked was
that I tended to keep shifting the focus because of the way I was
holiding it the focus ring is active all the time with this lens, even
in AI Servo mode, on my body). In comparison to the 300/2.8, the lens
is light (!) and I would be quite happy to hand hold it.

The other option is a 135/2 L which is much smaller, lighter and about
the same price new as a used 70-200/2.8 L. I would also appreciate the
extra half(?) stop of light.
