Not at all... Focusing capabilities with the 1.4x TC are managed by the
body, not the lens. Both EOS-3 and EOS-1v will have focusing capabilities
with the 1.4x TC and the lens you mention. Any other body will not. Also,
what the quote states is that the lens can fit on the teleconverter; it
doesn't say anything about focusing capabilities. This is a direct cut &
paste from a Canon brochure...
