A few thoughts follow:
>
> EOS Combination List Price
> EOS-3 1,099.99
> 2X550EX Flash 299.99
> ML3-Ring Flash 299.99
You didn't mention macro as one of your primary
interests. Why this flash? For portraiture, you'd
probably be better served by adding another 550 or
420EX.
> 85mm Lens 449.00
> 100 mm (maybe) 499.00
Which 100? The macro or the f2? I wouldn't buy both
the 85 and 100, I don't think. If you're going to get
the:
> 28-135mm Zoom Lens 499.99
Why not shoot some test protraits with it and see what
focal length you like better? Personally, I'd go for
the 100 (or even the 135).
> PB-E2 Power Booster 279.99
Again, why? Neither portrait subjects nore landscapes
move very fast. The built in winder should be fine
unless you plan to shoot a lot of sports.
> Rem Con 80N3 39.99
> Porta Flash(K2) 249.00
Not familiar with this.
> 2X Lens Hoods 34.99
> 2XPolariser Filters 36.99
> 2XSkylight Filters 58.00
Probably all good ideas.
> Sub Total: 3,347.92
Unless you're going to get a huge discount for buying
all at once, I'd buy a smaller kit first, and find out
through use what you're missing. Your widest angle is
only 28mm, and your longest tele is only 135. I'd
seriously consider something around a 20mm, and
something longer, like the 200mm 2.8 or the 70-200
2.8, instead of the winder and ring lite.
Except for it's weight, the 70-200 makes a very good
portrait lens, too, btw.
