There are lots of problems with the way the Yahoo! groups archive
is implemented. The reply problem is just one of them.

P.S. I tried making the letters LARGE and RED. Maybe I should
make the letters tiny and small. And so that visitors would notice
and read it, the words "FREE" "SEX" "MP3" "NAPSTER" "STOCKS"
"DOWNLOADS" or some combination of the above :-)
