His site is very interesting and informative, one has just to be a
little careful not to take everything as gospel. I even like his travel
stories, his writing style. Just be aware he is stating his opinions and
impressions, which are obviously very subjective. Writing and publishing

I have to disagree here. With this argument, everything besides full
manual mode doesn't have to be easy to use or as handy as possible.
Phils critique is a constructive one and Canon should really work on the
P mode IMHO,to make it more useful.

I don't know his book, but from what I read on photo.net on this topic,
I wouldn't be surprised if it was good.
