advertised price I can find, so that cost is not a factor.)
I haven't seen many reviews of the Tokina, and the Tamron is getting OK
reviews (which I take to be OK for my purposes).
Any suggestions?

HI,
I don't knowmuch about that particular Tokina, but Tokinas are generally good
lenses and having 24mm vs 28mm in the short end is much more significant,
IMHO.
Ther is another lens that had some good reviews - Tamron 24-135. But from my
experience, one lens is never enough for travel photography. Although Canon
28-135 IS comes very close to it.
