Hi Ken,

The Canon 500D is a +2 diopter lens.  Adding two of them
together would yield a STRONGER power of +4 diopter
(equivalent to having a 250mm lens).

If you need +4D, you might get better quality at a lower
price from a double-element Canon 250D

Or if you are perverse, use a EF 200mm f/2.8L lens in
reverse as a nine-element +5 Diopter close-up %-)
