Hi Harrison, Is this the same system with the SB-28 flash that I struggled with on a Nikon Coolpix 990? I gave up in frustration. What did I do wrong? For instance, I set slow sync flash for a backlit picture, and there was no flash. So I set forced flash in Av, but the camera insisted on setting X-Sync. I returned the SB-28 and went back to manual flash (using a 430EZ on an optical slave trigger with an IR filter over the built-in flash).
