The introduction of the Eos-1D, Mark II got me wondering; what, if anything, can be upgraded in the EOS-1Ds.
The 1Ds has it's firmware stored in flash memory. The only firmware revision seemed to be a rather trivial change in some minor "features". The big question is; can a "new, improved" DSP algorithm for noise reduction or other similar improvement in picture quality be accomplished by downloading code if Canon chooses to? This raises a related question; is the 1-D "dead" as far a Canon is concerned in terms of software enhancements? John Lovda __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
