I checked the number on my little monopod head. I looked long and hard to find a very small, very light, and usable head for a super light Manfrotto Carbon One 449 monopod. The ONLY one I found, I bought. It is the Manfrotto 3229 tilting head. This little head tilts in one direction only. I got the model with quick release. It only adds about 3 inches height and less than half a pound, maybe less to weight. When you use a monopod you usually put the leg way out in front of you. You will need a very tall monopod to do this right. And since the pod easily tilts in any direction and you can turn it easily, you don't need a ball head. In fact I think a ball head is no good. My little head swivelling in only one plane makes it much easer to use. And since I shoot with the leg way out front, I do need some kind of head to get a bit of tilt. This head makes it easy. Another bonus, since the head is so small, no need to remove it for walking. This monopod is an excellent walking stick, with the head attached even. * **** ******* *********************************************************** * For list instructions, including unsubscribe, see: * http://www.a1.nl/phomepag/markerink/eos_list.htm ***********************************************************
