Then when it finally died I got a Mitsubishi 19" and loved that. But last year I picked up quite cheap, a used NEC LCD 18" monitor and I'm never going back to CRTs. I was blown away by the accurate colour and incredible midtones. I could never get midtones like this on any CRT monitor. >As for size you can go as large as you want but with LCDs you aren't going >to get a lot more resolution. Standard for 19"-22" is 1280x1024. Widescreen >19"-22" will give you something like 1440x1050. Those are all in the >$300-$400 range. The HP that Javier recommends gives you 1900x1200. My wife has a really cheap 15" LCD and that is also excellent. I don't think you have to pay a lot for an LCD monitor. I used to tweak and adjust my CRTs to try and get accurate colour and dynamic range but with LCDs you don't have to do that. -- Jim Davis, Owner, Eastern Beaver Company: http://easternbeaver.com/ Motorcycle Relay Kits, Modulator Kits, Powerlet, Centech, Posi-Lock, Parts. 1988 K100RS SE ABS in Japan. 1991 ST1100 in America.
