Tom, It now appears that many graphics cards come with software to support this feature.
I look after several pcs here and many of them support the rotate feature without the pivot pro software. An hp dx6050 with integrated graphics supports it. Another PC with nvidia card supports it, my desktop with a Matrox Parhelia supporrts the rotate feature. The last 2 monitors purchased with the rotate feature also supplied the pivot software.
