Hey Don: If the fabric tests OK, then it does not need to be replaced. It
is very difficult to put any new finish on old fabric that has the finish
cracked. You can spray it, but the cracks will still show. If it has been
rejuvenated a couple of times, then you may be OK.
Let us know what you decide. (Check the log books to find out what was put
on 20 years ago)
