With relatively good availability of commercial EVs, I think the conversion market is going to change. It used to be, you had to build a conversion, just to drive electric. Now, you have other choices.
With a conversion with lithium cells now approaching half the cost of a cheap commercial EV, it is harder to justify the work of a conversion. There will still be people that will undertake a conversion for special purposes (such as drag racing or endurance racing), or to keep driving a cherished old car, but many people will now choose the option of a commercial, supported vehicle. I probably would have, if I had the option 3-4 years ago.
