That would be a public health issue not a freedom of the press issue, I
have no objection to laws regulating where you can and can not defecate.

Certainly! You have every right in the world to express your feeling of
being offended, and by the same token I have the right to say: "it is
annoying to hear you whining about how grievously some french cartoons have
offended your delicate sensibilities, and it is in very bad taste to do so
at this particular moment".

And the person who posted them on that other group was no doubt also
offended by them and posted them for the same reason that you posted them
to this group, out of a generous desire to share a delicious feeling moral
indignation and self righteousness with fellow list members.

I can't imagine why but for some reason I'm reminded of people complain
about the boorish behavior of the paparazzi when they take pictures of
movie stars and then are the first in line to buy the trashy magazines that
publish the paparazzi's pictures.

So in the years to come the thing we should remember from all this isn't
that Muslim maniacs murdered 17 people because they didn't like the
cartoons they drew, the really important thing we should remember is that
Chris de Morsella didn't like the cartoons either.

Yes I was offended, but as I said before being offended doesn't seemed to
have caused me any harm, and I rather doubt that many on this list care if
I was offended or not. But never mind me it's different for you, I am
certain all list members would be fascinated and would consider it of world
shaking importance to hear all about the latest thing that Chris de
Morsella finds offensive.
