We can't criticize religions because the churches, with the help of the main stream atheist (of your type), does not want us to come back to reasoning at that level, yet.

All the atheists I know are fine with a search for fundamental reality with a scientific attitude.

As long as you don't step outside the current aristotelian paradigm, which would remind them of their religious conviction that they are unable to doubt.

The only thing they don't like about your program is your insistence on calling something (it's not clear what) "God".

I don't use the term God in any of my papers and thesis. In Conscience and Mecanism I take a very large definition of theology: I define it by the modal logic (and that can be justsifed by some text by Aristotle).

And in the french version, I replaced theology by psychology, like in my early posts in this list. I changed on this more recently, due to the confusion this entails.

They don't like that because "God" has a common meaning;

All words have a common meaning, which is always scratched by science.
Only fundamentalist are shocked by this.

it means a supernatural person who created the world and judges human worth and communicates His commands through priests and mystics and sacred texts.

Like "universe" meant a tortoise on the top of another tortoise, except that in the field of theology, the corresponding "tortoise" has been made into a dogma. Why does atheists defend that dogma, like creationist and fundamentalists, continue to amaze me, and confirms that the atheists (the strong non agnostic one) are the protector of the dogma and power in the field of theology.

I don't think you believe in this "God" but you want to poke the eye of some atheists who rejected your work.

They rejected computer science, quantum mechanics, applied logic, ... not just theology. Worst, they encourage me to do all this, in the name of free-research and free-thinking, and demolish it, behind my back, in the name of atheism or in the name of pure mathematics.

I have never met them. never. not even one minutes in a coffee pause. So they act in an even more dogmatic way than inquisition, which gave the parole to those who were condemned.

I don't pretend that all atheists are like that, I do illustrate that some branch of atheism, in some countries behaves like that.

Those people lack of course education in theology. They don't see the difference between people like Plato, Aristotle, Plotinus, Milinda, and the fairy tales of the institutionalized theology, which is their problem, as it means that they are not aware of the questions, and hate any attempts which can make people doubt in that domain, that is why they use defamation instead of writing papers and debunk my work if they were sincere in their beliefs that something is wrong. They do defend dogma, even if some of them are not aware that those are dogma. They confuse all the time "matter" and "primary matter". They are just sleepy after 1500 years of dogma in the field.
