Normal language doesn't work worth a damn if people duplicating machines are involved; precise language is a necessity and so is precise reasoning. At this point there is simply no excuse to continue to babble about "you" and " the 1p", especially if it's coming from a logician.

You just beg the question. Starting from your correct belief that a 1p will be in both places, you forget (or fake to forget) that *from* those 1p views, they will feel a dissymmetry, and they will feel both unique in a unique city. When we ask to predict the 1p experience, the "the" refers to that unique experience that both copies will live with certainty.

You have just use the same invalid reasoning based on ... just not listening to the simple question asked, which is about the 1p experience as seen from the 1p experience, not just the 3p description of all available 1p experiences.

By using a bifurcating road to handle this case, Chris Peck recently illustrated he made the same error of not taking the first person experience into account at the very start, as road have no 1p experiences a priori.

With that kind of threatening of the UDA, I think I can sleep very well. But by repeating all the time the same obvious mistake, you do look more and more like a boring and pathetic troll, to be frank.

The question is why does Bruno Marchal absolutely insist on using personal pronouns even when duplication machines makes them so obviously ambiguous?

The question is, why does he still waste time with this discussion.

Nouns are also ambiguous. Human language relies on context, it assumes some intelligence on the listener. Otherwise it would be really hard to say anything. Bruno has gone through the trouble of removing ambiguity over and over again, but if he slips back to talking like a normal person you have this shitty argument ready to deploy. You are not arguing in good faith and you never gave the idea a chance. You just want to show that Bruno is an idiot. Why you devote so much time to that effort, I don't know. It's weird.

This mailing list used to be interesting.

To complete the experiment after the duplication Bruno Marchal needs to find the person, the one unique person, who wrote all that stuff in the diary. How does
Bruno Marchal intend to do that?
