That's a far cry from quantum mechanics.
*Much* work needs to be done to get the corresponding “Gleason
theorem”. It is just a matter of work.
Until it is done you don't know that "it is just a matter of work."
Nobody claims this to be simple, but people needs to get familiar with
incompleteness before. Even Penrose got it wrong. There is still an
abyss between logicians (allergic to metaphysics for historical reason
well explained in the book by Cohen that I have often mentioned), and
physicists (which are unaware of the notion of mathematical models or
semantics). Things take time.
