Dan,

Although I am in direct opposition to the idea of adding valved shocks and/or coil springs to F500, I have to say that I have spent a considerable amount of time repairing cracked frame welds on my car. My solution has been to add gusseting or other additional support whenever I have a problem; so far, it's working.

I'd love to not have to continually re-engineer the frame design for longevity (after the fact, no less), but this is FAR cheaper and less trouble than dealing with spring/shock packages and the resulting tuning effort.

An open question:
Of those who are in favor of spring/shock addition to F500 - how many of you have actually campaigned a formula car with springs and shocks in National-level Club racing? [FWIW, I'm not trying to be harsh, but I am trying to see if we all actually understand what this really entails.]

Is everyone breaking suspension components or something??? I never thought my car had a rough ride and i never broke any suspension parts so im wondering where the push for shocks is even coming from, can anyone fill me in on what kind of problems this is causing?
thanks
