If you are 'an hour NW of Detroit" you are somewhere near Flint MI (or
Saginaw MI if you drive real fast) Better turn that map around.
OK I'm North East. According to my Google map, more North than East. In
fact, it might be fair to say that I am almost due north of Detroit.
