"I have streamed hours of video into this Firewire card (normally from stormchasing) without a problem."
But are you streaming 8 channels (FLEX-3000) or 10 channels of 96K or 192K data? Probably not unless you are doing multi-channel audio recording at high sampling rates. As for Firewire cards, these have been reported to work. http://kc.flex-radio.com/KnowledgebaseArticle50179.aspx -Tim -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Michael Walker (VA3MW) Sent: Saturday, September 12, 2009 5:47 PM To: [email protected] Cc: [email protected] Subject: Re: [Flexradio] Some initial comments I have streamed hours of video into this firewire card (normally from stormchasing) without a problem. If there is a recommend PCI express card that I should be using, then I will order it. Perhaps one of our software guys could write a quickie firewire performance checkout program. Surely if the radio can give us a pass-fail test in actual use (by either working or not for 24 hours straight), a program could be written to do the same - all required functions, not just the DPC latency thingie.
