oh, that line going up, that I was talking about was on the G4 monitor
(although I think I may have seen a line going up on the 6100's monitor when
I turned it on about 10 minutes ago). Did you have the problem when one
monitor was off, because I'm having this problem whether the 6100's monitor
is on or off? I changed my monitor back to 1200x1600 and the lines came
back. I was looking through the controls on my monitor and I accidentally
degaussed my monitor. I never knew my monitor had that built in. Isn't
that something you do to fix the results of some moron holding a magnet on
the screen and distorting it?

I don't have enough room to keep my 6100 further away from my G4. I'm kind
of stuck with it like that. Although, I have had the 6100 and G4 next to
each other since I got the G4, but I'm only noticing these lines now. All I
can try is trading places between the 6100 and the Apple][GS(that is on the
way). I'm setting up my room so I can set the Apple][GS up. My plans call
for a desk under the shelf my TV is on which I would put the C64 setup and
the ][GS on. The phone extenuation cords have been where they are since I
first moved here in 1996.

::starts looking at desk::
::gets to thinking::
::moves 6100 over as close to the end of the desk as possible(2inches)::
::moves the G4 and monitor about 2inches in the opposite direction::
::notices bunch of dust on 6100's monitor::
::starts obsessively wiping dust off::
::yanks hand back with a "yelp" as he gets a really bad static electricity
shock::

Ouchy. ok, that really hurt! and I still see lines....my hand still
hurts... ACK! now there are two lines instead of one again!
ok...now there don't appear to be any.

I went under my desk and heard a pulsating humming sound. I followed it to
my G4. I went downstairs to see if the exhaust fan in the laundry room(just
below my room)was on, it wasn't. hmmm I see no lines other than the damper
wires right now.

Its getting really late, I'm going to have to go to bed.
