I've been using external US Robotics modems for the last 8 years with my
Macs and no problems... great performance, top-notch tech support, and I
like the fact that I don't have to use extra 3rd party software to get
it going. My 56k v.90 is quick and loads pages efficiently. And it sure
beat the original internal Global Village modem that came with my B&W
G3/350 (OS 8.6, 448MB, 60GB, rev.2) -- that thing was slow as molasses &
died after 6 months. I also use an external 33.6k with my PCI 7300/200
mac - solid performance all the way!

Just my two cents worth,
Sue
