Best Data has been great for me. I like the fact that they are headquartered not so far from me, in Chatsworth. I have never had occasion to do this, but I am very happy that I could just get in the car and physically bring a malfunctioning product to them. "OK, this isn't working...fix it!" All you need with an external Best Data is the right cable. If you get their "Mac packed" modems you will get it as part of the package. If not, 25 pin serial to Mac serial cables can be had for a pittance.
