RE: I dont about austrailia, but a USA comparison is road runner from the TV cable company,install was free with purchase of computer, or about 110. if bought seperately,modem included,it belongs to the company,the price has been just over 40 dollars(us) a month,compared to AOL dial-up at around 38 dollars US. so I went cable. but since shopping, Ive found dial-up ISP's at 9.95 a month. in other words AOL is three time more money for dial-up,I have not looked into other cable deals, as they all use the same cable that is owned by time warner,, hope this helps
