The GV 56K is an excellent external modem. It supports both v.90 and v.92 so it didn't matter which technology your ISP used. It works fine with everything from 8.6 - 10.2.3 for me. The only oddity was the included modem scripts only worked with 8.5 and earlier. I had to download the script from the GV web site. Use the "universal 115". Works great.
