And there is always tricks you can play on the seller. I know a guy who bought a 10 GB 2nd Gen iPod at Best Buy and got the Best Buy warranty where they will replace it at no cost if it breaks for three years. (Apple now offers AppleCare warranties on iPods.) He took his 10 GB back, told the guy it was broken and Best Buy gave him a new 15 GB 3rd Gen iPod. I don't advocate this kind of behavior, but it shows how the system can be manipulated.
