That's not a trick at CompUSA. If you buy a $499 iPod and also buy their
replacement plan you are covered. It it legitimately breaks (no cosmetic or
physical damage is covered) then you bring it back and you get $499 worth of
a new iPod. Chances are that the iPod you bought is now obsolete and you
get the dollar value. You can even get your $499 back in the form of a gift
card to buy something completely different.
Just thought you should know.
