Stuff like this is always a problem. A while back the Canadian Veterinary
Medicine Association had drafted a position whereby they recommended
against keeping all non-domestic animals, including all reptiles. The draft
was leaked out and several herpers, including some vets, wrote letters
and made phone calls. PIJAC Canada put a lot of effort into it as well.
The last I heard it was no longer an issue (for now).
