Another possibility is if you have a decent pet shop in the area.  They
will probably know of any bans in your area.  When I went to college, there
was a ban on boas and pythons (not that it stopped me.) As I was walking
along campus one day, I met a girl with a hybrid wolf that was 15/16
timberwolf.  Thinking of that wolf and then thinking of the ban always
gives me a good chuckle.  TC
