Unfortunately it really is left up to us to fight for our hobby.
In all fairness though, I would not have known about the CVMA
issue if they hadn't told me and forwarded background and contact info.
Where I live, we've been waiting for an impending by-law review
for the past few years. At the time it was supposed to happen we didn't
even have a local Humane Society, but now I fear we will have opposition
when it comes up.
