I believe that the adult gypsy moths should be OK.  Be careful about the
caterpillars - they have stinging spines.  I have also fed adult waxworm
moths which you can rear from the easily obtainable larvae, though some
of them have trouble making past the pupa stage (they are susceptible to
a bacterium I believe).  Just a warning about waxworms, they can escape
and become a nuisance, chewing on almost everything.
