Yes, you need to setup a socksserver on the gateway and you should never run a
sockswrapper on the gateway if you use it as the socks server

Yes, I usually have 3, 1 linux, 1 amiga and one mp3 player (PC)

Use socks then =)

Get http://www.active-net.co.uk/support/updates/sks5serv.lha

You need to copy the 'socks5' file to AmiTCP:serv and the 'socksserver.mcp'
file to AmiTCP:mui.

Chart of socksserver settings get the file, Install it and you'll see =)

<set it> = what hosts will you allow?

Socks is a completly different aproatch... It's a server<->client aproatch
(while ipmasq is completly trasparent)..

Socks5 is more of a way to handle all connections via ONE connection on
another machine...

more info is available at http://www.socks.nec.com (win32 socks wrapper avail
there aswell)

Note that somethings might not work perfectly via socks, like online games
etc..
