One of the reasons I left Talktalk was that their latest router (Hub 3) had a fault in the firmware which meant it could not provide Wifi calling, and Wifi calling was of course essential. My new router from Andrews & Arnold of course supports it.

The mobile signal goes straight to my hearing aids, but not to my wife's. Her loss is now classified as profound.

(The reason for sticking with BT was that my wife had a severe hearing loss and they provided special phones. Also the mobile signal in the house is appalling).

My father has severe hearing loss and rarely used a phone for ~50 years, even the special one with built-in amplifier.

He currently has a mobile phone, and the sound quality is better - he can actually use it now.

Lately we've been trying to get it to connect directly with his hearing aids, which is a further improvement.

As for the appalling signal strength in the house - WiFi calling enabled phone should help with that, maybe?

All this has been helped by the greatly improved quality of hearing aids, of course, but mobile phone greatly improved his ability to communicate.

Plus there's fall detection features, etc.

Just my 2ยข...
