I actually have my 93 GTS up on stands still and the rear tire is also off
so I thought I'd check the rear swingarm play and mine is a bit loose too.
The manual says 1 mm side play at end of swingarm and mine is probably twice
that. I have 31,000 kms and I haven't touched these before so I guess
they're due for a service.

<RSRBOB-the 94 frame that uses an adjuster to remove said play>

Where do I get the shims from (are they a Yam part?) or can I just get the
adjuster from a 94 and add it to mine?

<RSRBOB-To remove the play, measure what it has, order two extra shims and
have them surface
ground to take up the play, but allow 0.010".>

What do you mean "have them surface ground to take up the play"? And how do
you measure the play, it looks like the thrust covers are in the way?

While I've got everything down there apart I'd like to also service the
bearings on the relay arm. Did I read that someone actually added grease
nipples to this part so that he wouldn't have to take the center stand off?
Good idea! If so, how many were added and have you noticed any problems? I
am thinking of doing it myself, are there any tricks?

Thanks
