In a TL 8 game world, snipers can rely on much greater accuracy
through technology. For example, the automatic system used by
TrackingPoint

is very, very good.

Automatic calculation of wind, range, temperature, barrel wear, etc,
can make each shot nearly perfect, to the limits of the barrel and the
ammunition.

A servo mount can eliminate hand shake and allow shooting while behind cover.

It does cost quite a lot of money and would probably be issued only to
special forces.
