What would be the difference between a pod and a module? Armour and external features go to the main vehicle, anything else?
Arguably vehicles can have hatches that come off as part of the vehicle. So having part of the armour coming off together with the module could be considered a special effect, outside the scope of the vehicle.
That would then however assume, that the suit is not fully operational, with no pod attached.
