Good point. That will be especially important if the suit can fly at high speed. For a high-end, TL12 force I'm thinking about two arm-mounted modular sockets. Beam weapons can be mounted separately from their power cell, so I can try to balance things it out. Rifleman: Right arm with 3.6-MJ, 50-lb. x-ray laser and 5 rE cells, left arm with six 5-lb. missiles in a 15-lb. launcher, a 5-lb., a 240-kJ, 5-lb. flamer and 5 more rE cells, mostly for the xaser in the other arm. Support: Right arm with 100-lb. beam weapon (fusion gun or a xaser with higher RoF?), left arm with ten rE cells. Engineer: Right arm as for the rifleman, left arm with 50mm grav grenade launcher, 45 lbs., with 40 grenades, plus the flamer and 2 more rE cells. The grenades would be 'technical' types like HESH to break walls, blackout smoke, etc. The arms of the rifleman and engineer are balanced in weight and volume, but only when they are loaded. The expendables are in the left arm, which gets lighter. The arms of the supporting weapon are unbalanced, the left arm with the power cells is 100 lbs. heavier than the right, but it doesn't change.
